Finally I have found the BEST dim sum place in ottawa. I was extremely happy with the quality of the food here. The clam ha gao, char siew bao, just everything I had was delicious! haven't been to the Mekong in a while, but decided to try it again the other night, service was very good, our waitress was very attentive and our orders ariived in a timely manner. We ordered a couple of appetizer, they wer ok, nothing special. The prawns in chili tomato sauce were exceptional, cooked to perfection. normally we don't come into the city for chinese food, but i will definitley return.

I am a huge fan of Asian food, but unfortunately had nowhere to go for good Korean food since moving to Ottawa, until I found Koreana that is.
Koreana is a low key gem tucked away on Somerset. The staff is always super friendly and service is very quick. Tea along with complimentary appetizers are brought within a couple minutes.
On to the food. I absolutely love the bulgogi which is at least as good if not better than most of the competition in in Toronto. It's always sizzling hot and if you don't put a napkin on your lap you are bound to have some crackling oil drops land there. The meat is very well marinated and tender, and the portions are very big. The various stews are likewise very good, my favorite is the pork stew.
They also service sushi but I have never had to chance to try it. The bulgogi is just too hard to pass up.
As with most Korean restaurants, your order is accompanied by complimentary side dishes like kimchi and seaweed. All are very good except the occasional broccoli salad which I'm not a fan of.
Koreana has now become one of my monthly haunts. Highly recommended.

My husband and i had the pleasure of dining in Thai One On. We were served by a wonderful young lady by Archana. She was so pleasant and very helpful regarding the menu. The food was outstanding. Portions were enough to take some home for another meal. I would highly recommend dining at Thai One On. Unfortunately have no photo's of our meals. My husband and I have been a customer at the Oak on March Road since the first day they opened their doors. We have been patrons ever since, loved the staff for their friendly attitude, and the way they have cared over the years for their clients. Today this atmosphere has not changed and the staff, although younger are ever so caring and warm towards their customers. I come here in this buffet restaurant so many times with friends because we just love the food selection and their great taste. To me, this was one of the best Chinese buffet restaurant in Ottawa with a fair meal price. It’s just sad to see this place close its doors permanently.
