My girlfriend and I went up to tobermory ontario a few weeks ago. I have never had such amazing customer service in my entire life. Our server was super kind, funny and made lots of jokes to keep us entertained through our meal. I think this place is amazing. Best breakfast food in all of Pickering and Ajax. Service is fast and friendly. Food is hot and prepared just to our liking. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone. (Shame about the other review, I've never had a problem and I've been many times. Actually I'll never go to the Ajax one again. We've been to the Granite Brewery a number of times as the food is always fantastic with generous portions. In addition to the delicious food, they have a good selection of their own brews. We especially enjoyed their Ringwood, a delightful blonde. There are different atmospheres for different tastes, but at the Granite Brewery they have several to choose from. Two excellent patios, a bar, and a family restaurant area, all designed for comfort. The rear patio looks particularly amazing, but as it was raining, we'll just have to wait until next time to try it out. It should also be noted that the Granite Brewery has free parking with easy access. The Granite Brewery gets our highest recommendation and we will be back soon. Read more

I first visited Allen's back in the 80's, not long after it opened, and I was instantly smitten. So much so, in fact that I moved into the neighbourhood! First I was a regular, then a nuisance, and finally a piece of furniture. I finally moved back to Markham in 1998, and cannot justify going anywhere south of Steeles Avenue without stopping into Allen's for lunch. Definitely the best bar / restaurant in the area. Great Patio in the back and very cozy atmosphere inside. This is a designated heritage building and there are old pictures of the area on the walls which is a nice touch. The food is great and it's a mix of Italian, Mexican, American. What I like most is the open kitchen. The food is prepped in the open! It's a refreshing change from almost all other restaurants that prep food behind closed doors (makes you wonder what's really crawling in the kitchen). The Bar has good selection on tap and there is a comfortable lounging area in the back by the fireplace as well. This place is great! I was there a few days ago with a friend and had some lunch. Lots of space and not too crammed like the other diners in the area. The omellette and pasta was perfect.
