Visiting the Falls and the bar was a 5 minute walk from the motel. The girl serving us, Kristen, was friendly and fast...had our drinks in no time even though it was busy and she was the only server. Food came fast, hot and exactly how I like my wings and I'm fussy! Spoke with Tuna (Charlie maybe?) behind the bar and told him that if I lived here, this is where I would hang out...he bought my wife and I a drink, which we thought was excellent. Went back the next night and ate something completely different and it to was excellent. Four dinners in 2 nights with about 8 pints total including somewhat generous tips brought the 2 day total to $92 CDN...the place is inexpensive and the food is very good. Read more

Clean, clean, clean. Finally a Chinese restaurant that gets it when it comes to cleanliness. Nice place to take your family and kids. Offers Great dishes and the portions are not bad. They also have a spacious parking area that is free to guests. (Trust me, that's rare in Niagara Falls). I invited friends and family from Toronto over lunch and everyone loved what I've ordered. Some of them even took home food for their dinner. I love recommending good place to everyone. Must try. Read more

I took a date there for date night. A nice, large booth was offered to us, very romantic and appealing. The food was great in my opinion. Portions were very generous, and the flavour was more of a Canadianized Italian than authentic style. We both enjoyed or meal and the real treat came at dessert with the Chocolate Pizza - amazing and worth going again so I can introduce another to this delicacy. The wine list was surprisingly diverse, a welcome treat. Our server treated us well. Based on my experience I would return to try it out again. Read more

I wasnt able ro visit the location in person, however the correspondence over the phone and courtesy was amicable for a four star rating on atmosphere. I didnt feel rushed even though I had many questions before and while placing my order and hope to bring my family into the restaurant to dine next time so we can honestly give five stars all across the board. We LOVE Swiss Chalet! This is easily the most dependable place in town to eat. The food is always good, hot, delicious, and quickly delivered. I take quickly delivered to mean that I don't have to wait! Our servers have always been friendly, and the restaurant is always clean. I'm not a very big fan of seafood, but I was won over by the incessant advertisements for Lobsterfest. Gotta say it was the best dining decision made in a long time. This location was opulently decorated with wood interiors and it mainly had booth seating. After walking past a decorative stack of firewood outside, I was pleased to see a real fireplace inside. After ordering entrees we were surprised to also get salads, potato sides, and these delicious little warm biscuits. The Lobster Trio was fantastic. The tail was meaty and came with plenty of butter, though it was unsalted butter and I had to add salt from the shaker to taste. Garlic shrimp were exceptional. The most remarkable treat was the Lobster Macaroni and Cheese that rounded out the trio. It was so rich and flavourul that I could not finish mine even though by every gastric impulse I had wanted to. Soda pop has to be remarked on, it was rich and sweet the way fountain pop should be. Sheldon was our server, and he did an amazing job. All other staff were friendly and courteous as well, which made it a beyond perfect atmosphere. Read more

Andy's is a great place for breakfast and even lunch. Their breakfast is the best and cheapest in town. Andy, the cook is a bit of a jerk but her makes a good breakfast. His son, the waiter, is pleasnat enough, not friendly at all but I think that's just the way he is. Anna, the wife is super nice and always talks about her grandkids in Greece and shows us pictues. My favourite breakfast is the cheese omletter and their club sandwich is excellent. They also have very good fish and chips. They used to stay open later on Friday nights to serve it, but don't any mor. Too bad. The only problem is that Deb doesn't work there any more. She was the best waitress and resposible for a lot of people coming in. She was friendly and seemed to know everybody. I miss he working there. In conclusion, good local place to eat for cheap. We started our visit via the internet to get a feel for the restaurant. We were curious to see the prices and any other information we could gather. We found the website to be user friendly and included day and evening menus with prices. We called to inquire about reservations and the hostess that answered was friendly and well informed. Upon our arrival we were greeted by the same hostess that answered the phone and accommodated us with the window seat that we had asked for. Walking in the atmosphere was warm and inviting with an amazing view of the Niagara Falls. Our waitress was pleasant and professional in all aspects of her job. She frequently stopped by to talk with us and ensure that our visit was a pleasant one. Her attention to us did not waiver even as the restaurant got busier. The food was fresh and exceeded all our expectations, right down to the butter. The steaks were prepared exactly the way we ordered them and the baked potato was superb. Overall this restaurant was outstanding, dinner was delicious, view was exquisite, service was amazing and we had a wonderful time. I ordered the salmon, and it was cooked to perfection. I can't think of another way to describe this place, other than perfect. The server was attentive (except the water boy was slow), and always made sure we were enjoying ourselves. Our bill for the two of us was $280 so it is a little on the pricey side, but definitely worth it if you are visiting the Niagara region.
