There are very few roadside restaurants on the Viking Trail so I expected any we found to be pretty bad and only somewhere to eat out of desperation. However, L & E is definitely worth a stop. We initially stopped heading north for lunch but loved it so much that we intentionally planned to stop again for breakfast when returning south. Both meals were absolutely delicious without being remotely greasy. Service was friendly. The value can't be beaten! This is by far the best place I've eaten in Newfoundland - the quality of the food far surpassed that of more expensive restaurants. Read more

The food tastes great, the service is very quick, giving you your meal most times within 20 minutes. The waiters and waitresses are eager to help and check up on you every so often.
