We ordered East Sides for Mothers Day and we were not disappointed!! We usually don't order out on big holidays as we know everywhere is crazy busy but we decided to treat ourselves this year and are glad we did. I have loved Harvey's for a long time. It is my favorite fast food restaurant. I am vegetarian and have always enjoyed the veggie burgers. They are the best. Went here recently for a friday night out. Everything was perfect from the minute we walked in , until the minute we left. Our waitress, Maria , was outstanding. It was nice to walk in to a restaurant and be welcomed like family. We always enjoy the warm buns, it gives us something to munch on while waiting for our meal. We ordered the haddock and chips. The meal came out quick and piping hot. It was the best fish and chips we have had in recent memory. To top it off the apple crumble was exceptional. This is hubby and my weekly breakfast place usually on a Wed or Sun. There is sometimes a bit of a wait on Sun as this place is small but it's worth the wait. If you can't wait try the take out. The service is always friendly and they are very accommodating if you need to change things a bit. The food and coffee are both delicious. We eat breakfast sometimes and sometimes lunch. For breakfast I usually get the French connection which comes with 2 large slices of french toast, bacon and sausage (I get all bacon) 2 eggs to order, and home fries. This is under $8 too. My hubby gets grilled cheese with a side order of bacon and a side of home fries. For lunch we usually get the Kel Burger, chicken fingers and fries or the buffalo chicken sandwich. For those of you who don't like "breakfast food" they'll let you order lunch for breakfast. Hubby's done this before. Read more

On recommednation of a friend as well as restaurantica reviews we decided to try Speekezzies for a mid week meal. We were promplty (and pleasantly) seated is this family establishment. Alot of selection on the menu but what sparked our interest was the lamb chop special. We asked to substitue the mashed potatoes for homemade ricotta gnocchi - lovely and flavorful- upgrade charges applied. Service was fine - nothing omitted. wine portions were a little small for value but everything else made up for that. Decor could use an update to perhaps draw a differnt clientele as return customers. However, it was adequate for us and we will definately return. Read more
