LOVE! with so many options for Chinese in Victoria, you can't go wrong with Sampan Express. If you are looking for table side service, linen, candle light, may be a bottle of wine.....etc.. this would NOT be the place for you . They aren't the best but hey.... for around 10 bucks a head you get a decent meal , I had a 3 items combo from their hot table for just $9.25 + tax. my girlfriend Linda had a wonton soup......best wonton.....said Linda. The overall feel to this place is very cool. Trekking down onto the wharf you get great service and really great fish and chips. The batter is light and crispy and they offer all the options for fish and chips. However, the purist in me always goes for the halibut and you get pretty decent sized portions considering the price. One of the few restaurants in Aldergrove, this place is tremendous... Their caesar salad dressing is wonderful... their pizza is incredibly delicious... and their lasagna is absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is fine with a little unhealthy food. It is very cheesy and greasy but it's incredibly delicious.
