Excellent food, as always, but not enough staff to handle busy night. We waited 20 minutes to be seated, even though there was an empty table, feeling pretty stupid with everyone looking at us. Got there at 6:30 and weren’t served food until 7:50. The two waitresses were run off their feet trying to keep up. This is the second time this has happened this summer. Kenny's Pizza is originally from Cape Breton and have recently opened in Antigonish. They make a thin crust style pizza which is very good, in addition they also carry oven baked subs, and other menu items typical of a pizza place. Besides their pizza I would recommend trying the Hero Sub. Their pricing is great for the size of the pizza and they do not skimp on the ingredients. If you haven't tried Kenny's yet I recommend that you do, you will not be disappointed. Read more

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We first tried it on our way through Pictou and ended up choosing them to cater our wedding. Camille was incredibly helpful, kind, and thorough throughout the process. On the wedding day her staff were prompt and so kind to all of the guests. They were so helpful and assertive where needed! They even cut the cake for us when we had originally had planned to do so. Overall the experience was incredible, not to mention how affordable it all was. Read more

My wife saw the restaurant while driving through New Glasgow. We decided to try it for dinner as it seemed to offer something a little different. The restaurant is a converted Victorian style home. The restaurant was almost full when we got there so we knew this was a good sign. I ordered the Smoked salmon appetizer ($10) and got three heatlhy portions of salmon on potato pancakes. My wife ordered a nice looking salad. Since the restaurant is German, we opted for the Bavarian mushroom schnitzel, breaded pork loin with a mushroom Crème sauce served with spaetzle ($22). The schnitzels were cooked perfectly and the portions were very generous. We paired the entrees with a nice pinot noir from New Zealand. The wine list had a good selection of wines of different price ranges. The ambience was wonderful. We did not feel rushed, nor did it take forever to get the food. The staff were attentive and we really enjoyed the experience...can't wait to get back here again. Read more
