After discovering that Drupati's/Roti Roti was closed, I decided to visit Alima's while reading online reviews. Warning: This is a take-out only place. There are no tables/chairs to eat-in. When I walked in, no one was at the counter. Had to wait a coupla minutes for someone to come to the counter. This seemed normal as no one was bothered by it. Being that it was my first visit, I had some questions that the worker patiently answered, suggesting different options. She was very helpful. Expecting to sitdown, I ended up eating by my car, on the grass. That didn't bother me much. Food was nicely packaged, neat not spilling all over the place. Parantha roti wasn't hot, more chewy than flaky/soft. Curry itself was very flavourful and not too salty - as I find most places tend to be. If in the area and want to do a pick-up, I think Alima's is a good option. (Place seemed quite busy with a revolving door of people coming in to pick up their orders that they phoned in!) I can't say enough about this place! I have been going since 1998! So a well established place. I go for lunch hot plate. You can choose several items from: peppers, pasta, chicken, sausage, broccoli, potato, bread. Where else can you get a full, healthy delicious, hot meal for $8.00. I haven't been there for supper and I don't think they offer the hot plate on weekends or supper. It is in a business park so they really cater to the weekday lunch. Read more

Sabrina remembered everyone’s order and took care of us. We gave her some tough orders but she didn’t slip up one bit! She was on top of drink refills and takeout containers for the kids. My wife and I have been going here since they opened about 11 years ago. The flavours are fantastic and our only complaint is that they need to tone down the spiciness (heat) of the food. We keep trying other Indian restaurants in Brampton but always come back to Minar as our favourite. Great food at a great price with an adequate atmosphere. Great Masala Chai & Nan Bread too. as to the washrooms.... they could use a bit of maintenance but are always CLEAN and certainly in better shape than most Indian restaurants we have tried.
