Stopped here on Dec 30, 2023. The staff were run off their feet!! beyond crazy busy. I felt bad adding my order to their hectic day. My food was hot and not mixed up how I don't know but it wasn't. THANK YOU! I will say that it needs to be updated. Very dirty looking.

My wife and I went for lunch on Oct.19/11.
This restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside but on the inside it is roomy and clean.
The service is quick and efficient.
My Rueben was an open sandwich with melted cheese on top with french fries. My wife had a lunch special. Both were very tasty (I would order the Rueben again... yum) The restaurant could stand an upgrade to the decor, but it's the quality of the food that counts... and it's good!

Wow! What a treat. We had driven by the place over and over again and there was always cars parked there no matter the time of the day and now I know why! The menu, which consists mostly of the good old hardy foods - meat and potatoes stuff - is absolutely fantastic. We were always searching for a great place to eat in Peterborough that we both could love and coming up short. We have found a great love in Uncle Georges. Sometimes the wait staff is not as good as other times, but the meal is always outstanding. We have been there 4 times in the past 4 months and love it. We will be back. Whether or not the menu changes in the summer I don't know but the prime rib is absolutely to die for.

We ordered the Beef tenderloin crostini, pork belly, baby back ribs, and black cod. The pork belly was the crispest and least fatty that I've ever had, it was spectacular. The flavors on the crostini were very good, the cherry chutney and dijon aioli went very well together. And the ribs... much better than any I've had at a Ribfest. My GF said the black cod was the tastiest fish she had ever had. The ambiance is nice cottage country, the dining room intimate with only four tables. A definite repeat!.

The atmosphere is friendly, there is always something that everyone can enjoy whether you're 60 or 4 years old. if it's not on the menu, their wonderful chef and staff will make sure that you have what you would like. the service is warm and friendly and they remember your name. The pizza is the best in the area and the Red Ale from Church Key Brewery is reason enough to return! I've eaten here 3 times, tried something different each time, and will continue to frequent this jewel of Lakefield. I found out about it through a recommendation from a local resident.
