If you are looking for a great place to meet up with friends to have some drinks and watch some sports, St. James Corner is the perfect atmosphere. It has flat screens positioned everywhere so you can enjoy the game and still socialize. The crowd is varies, it's not too young and not too old. The best part about St.James Corner for me is the food. Favorite menu items that are must: Mini Yorkies, Mini Sliders, Sweet Potato Fries, and the Nachos. This pub is absolutely one of my favorites. Easy to walk to from the LRT and bus stops and in the trendy Stephen Ave area, its atmosphere is awesome. The prices are competitive and specials are on everyday of the week. It is certainly one of the most affordable pubs out there - serving $6 Caesars even on Saturdays. With live music, too, its a busy and energetic place. Definitely recommend it! Read more

Servicing the business sector of downtown Calgary, West Restaurant is a great place to have lunch with colleagues or clients. The atmosphere is very modern and populated with business clientele, the service is quick, the pricing is reasonable, and the food is delicious. The only challenge I had was that I didn't make a reservation for lunch, and at 11:30 it was very busy and our table of 3 just about did not get in. There isn't any signage in ScotiaBank (as of posting May 21, 2010) as to where to go, at least I couldn't see it, so you have to make your way to the 2nd floor to enter the restaurant. Overall, I would visit West restaurant again. Read more

Tipperaries is close to where I work and also close to home. I have enjoyed eating their food for over 5 years now. I find their prices to be pretty reasonable. I personally have particularly enjoyed their Boxty (potatoe crepe with chicken filling), their Pizzas (my favourite is Shamrock), the Avocado Chicken Burger (had that today), the Beef Dip (had that earlier this week), and the Chicken Club Wrap (last week).
