Last week we had to organize a sudden meeting for our project with US clients. Due to lack of time we missed out planning for lunch but thanks to my ‘Opentable’ app Grilled Atlantic Salmon, Chicken Parmigianino, Spring Lamb with red wine that I found Carmelina Restaurant in Woodbine Avenue. Their event catering service for lunch & evening snacks made me & my team proud on my decision. I wonder how I missed looking this food place for last many years. Mike the owner of Bella Notte has done a fabulous job on making such a quiant atmosphere. He has pictures on the walls of him and the generations before him and this is Italian history at its finest. I really enjoy supporting the local businesses in my neighbourhood and this one is very easy to become a regular at. The food is amazing and is a great substitute for downtown Toronto dining. Bella Notte provides fresh food with unique flavors, it has a great wine selection, and always friendly service. You will need to expect however that on the weekends especially, it will be veryyyyy busy and the service may be slower than usual (standard for any restaurant really), so my advice to you is to purchase a great bottle of wine and enjoy the night with your loved ones. This establishment really gives you the time to enjoy your meal, wine and conversation which is not something done at your run of the mill franchises. I ordered the gnocci in tomato sauce, which was very good, and the bread was tasty. But for a meatless meal with no dessert and no appetizer, the prices are too high.
