I ate here with my family and we were delighted to find another teppanyaki place after losing our favourite one in the west end, and being disappointed at the Village. I am disabled, and access use an issue that they cannot solve at that location, but they do everything that is possible to make up for it. We know our teppanyaki, and were very pleased. We ordered calamari for appetizer and it came to the table way too fast! But a very interesting dish ... in a good way. Main course came about the right time. I had sable fish which was quite good but salty and a bit oily. My husband ordered a rib steak. From most of the reviews we read, Lago tends to over cooked their steaks so he ordered rare. It came out med-rare, but was good. I had key lime pie for dessert. Mediocre. The service was very good, our waitress was efficient and polite. What surprise me at the end was when I asked for my dessert to go because I could only eat about 1/3 of it. I opened the box shortly after she gave to me just to make sure it was my dessert (happened before). My dessert was literally dumped into the box ... it was splattered upside down! Not sure what happened there. Overall, it was a nice restaurant, good food and good service. We would visit it again. Read more

On Wednesdays Montana's has an "all you can eat beef rib night", its worth the trip and go there hungry. They have 2 choices of beef ribs "back" or "side" ribs, back ribs are more tender and have more meat on them. Its a fantastic meal and very delicious, I find myself dreaming of those ribs the rest of the week. Sadly they do not offer the same meal any other night of the week, its a one night only affair, the rest of the week they offer only a pork bone substitute for "Ribs" which is not at all like on rib night. Another annoying thing is you cannot switch rib type once you start so choose carefully. I know they have Rib night in several other Montana's restaurants in the Ottawa area on the same night but I don't know if it's chain wide, check with your local restaurant. The Wednesday night beef ribs are the best I've ever had. Read more

I've been eating here off and on for about twenty years and the food is consistently excellent. My one complaint (perhaps more of an observance, really) relates to how noisy it can get with a full house. Once upon a time, they used to have a carpeted dining room but changed it to tile about ten years ago. Needless to say, sounds are no longer muffled. Read more

I went to the new Beijing Legend restaurant on Bank with my wife and our friends. My wife is Chinese and is picky about your 'authentic flavour'. The atmosphere of this place is very nice and better than other Chinese restaurants I have been. The workers all wear nice uniform and great you with a smile. This restaurant has only been open a few weeks so the service was a little slow. I don't think it was a big concern as it was much faster than most restaurants around(just not compared to normal Chinese food). The best thing about Beijing Legend was the taste of the food. We ordered a fish dish, pork dish with mushrooms and a tofu dish. We started the meal with a nice soup. Each dish brought a smile to our faces and we were surprised how good it tasted. The portions were large and even with 4 of us we had to take some home. Currently Beijing legend is CASH ONLY however I believe that will change soon. They also will have their liquer licence soon so once they have that it will be an even better experience. My wife and I look forward to going again soon. Read more

If you only have a one hour lunch then this is definitely NOT the place for you to eat at that time. We arrived and it was busy. The place seems cramped but it appearred to be clean. We had reserved a table for noon and waited a while to get seated. When the waitress finally made it to our table we ordered drinks and our food at the same time. It took a long time just to get our drinks and a very long time for our food. It ended up being an hour and a half lunch. Most other restaurants in the area offer a quick lunch so people can get back to work in a timely fashion. This is where The Wood falls drastically short. The food was good, this I will not dispute. By burger was juicy and cooked perfectly and the salad with balsamic dressing was fresh and nice also. Unfortunately the speed of service will have to keep me away from this restaurant. Read more

We ordered take out,super fast delivery, food was amazing, portions were very generous. My husband eats a lot and couldn't finish his portion and we couldn't stop eating it was so fresh and tasty!
