Not only the best breakfast in the area, but the best value. (Especially if you are a senior.) 2 good sized eggs, 4 strips of bacon, texas toast and home-fires not frozen cubes. I get a side of hot peppers and coffee. For two of us .... just over $11.00 with tax!! (If you aren't a senior it would come to around $12.50)
Never had a problem with any of the waitresses. Food is cooked properly. Atmosphere is the usual R&R diner that plays a good selection of 50's & '60's music.
You can go a few blocks away and pay $16 for a lot less!
We drive past half a dozen breakfast joints that we have tried in the past to have breakfast here. (often)

It was all delicious! We all thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and tea very much! It brought back memories for my Mum and my Gran with a tremendous intimate atmosphere . We will definately return whenever we are in Barrie. The staff could not be more hospitable! They were friendly and very accommodating. The English imported groceries brought back so many childhood memories we could not help ourselves!

Some food was a little salty but the portion sizes are generous. Too much batter on tempura items. The menu is Canadianized as are most Chinese restaurants but I found they have more items to choose from. The Specials that they have for Families of 4 or 5 are pretty decent. Even though there was a line up on a Saturday morning we only waited 5 or 10 minutes to be seated. Service was polite and quick and our food came quickly. It was fantastic. My husband's Belgian waffle was huge! The prices are quite reasonable. We had a great experience.

Although I really enjoyed the pizza that I ordered, special requests that I make are very seldom acknowledged. I do not like the garlic dipping sauce that comes with the pizza and I have requested a ranch cup instead. The label on the side of the pizza box indicates a ranch cup but more time than not I never receive it. It would have made my pizza experience much better.
