I recall eating at a Montana’s Grill a few months ago and enjoying an Aunt Emma’s meatloaf. This past Saturday my wife and I had a yearning to try it again, so we went to a relatively new Montana’s in Hyde Park and discovered that it was now listed on the menu as a “Cookhouse Meatloaf” and promoted as being one of the restaurant’s “favourites”. I can see why. Quite frankly, this was by far the best meatloaf I have ever tasted in my life, and at 73 that’s saying quite a lot. Sure you can eat meatloaf at a number of places but I bet you can’t beat having a more delicious one at Montana’s in Hyde Park.

Great meals. Food was all fresh and high quality. Eggs to order, breakfast meats tasty, coffee is good and ample. Not much atmosphere except for the working class people, mostly men before work or lunch break. Everyone seemed very at ease and unpretentious including the staff who were eager to please. Frank's bacon is the best bacon you'll ever have. The atmosphere is a big jovial family. The diner hasn't been updated in 50 years, so it's a major throw back, but it's clean and you can tell that the owners love the place.
The breakfast for $5.95 has three awesome eggs, awesome bacon, home fries and hot buttered toast. SO GOOD!!!

Wild Wings serve up some of the most unique wings . The wings were quite delicious, there were MANY flavours to choose from. Very unique flavours such as Thai and Raspberry and Pineapple curry! However, they tasted quite ordinary, there wasn't a WOW factor. The service was great, our waitress was very friendly and helpful. And the atmosphere was very fun.
Our bill was quite expensive though; we paid $40 in total for 20 wings and 2 small iced teas.
