THE FRESH ROLLS WERE SUPER FRESH -- CRISP AND SERVED WITH 3 DIPPING SAUCES (AS A TREAT!) THE MANGO SALADS WAS FULL OF FLAVOUR BUT SMALL. THE SWEET AND SOUR STIRFRY WAS PERFECT BUT ONLY 6 SHRIMP?! THE YELLOW CURRY WAS A BEAUTIFUL BLEND OF FLAVOURS AND THE JASMINE RICE -- TO DIE FOR! THE SERVINGS WERE ALL SMALL IN COMPARISON TO NORMAL RESTAURANT FEASTS BUT VERY WELL PRESENTED AND COOKED TO ORDER! DESSERTS WERE YUMMY -- COCONUT ICE CREAM AND FRIED ICE CREAM WERE A DELIGHT. we went for a friend's birthday dinner. her and her bf love the place. they talk about it all the time. i have heard mixed reviews about the place.
going online and checking out menu didn't look too appealing to me. regular food with a high price and over stuffed with "expensive" words for simple ingredients
i had a glass of the Chardonnay from usa. excellent should have order 1.2 liter. i shared the sicilian mussel except made not spicy (don't like spicy food). the broth has aromatic and delightful. nice tomatoes, olives and onion broth. mussels were plump and tasty. the table bread was amazing. i usually steer away from bread because it is dry and garbage. but this was warm, soft and fluffy in the middle with a slight chew and crispy on outside.
i ordered the shrimp and scallop carciofi (fettucine) made without cream and with tomato instead. the pasta was cooked perfectly, scallops a bit fishy, shrimps were poached perfectly. a bit too much tomato but im a bigger fan of cooked pasta perfect el dente.
people sitting around me ordered veggie gnocchi (she loved it), short rib gnocchi (he wolfed it down and wanted more), prosciutto fuselli (she said pasta was amazing too slow portion and prosciutto tasted like bacon, pork chop dinner (thought it was amazing), smoked chicken el la vodka (he said was ok).
food was good better than i expected. a bit over priced but it was a friend's birthday.

This place has the best bang for your dollar. The service is great the food is good. My wife, daughter and I all ate there the other night and had great meals . My daughter and I started with Cheddar and Ale soup ( Very Good) the wife shared ours. My daughter and I had the fish and chips while my wife settled on liver and onions. The fish and chips are fantastic even for someone who is not a big fish eater like my daughter. I had the double order of fish which I could barely eat it was so big. My wife loved the liver and onions, (liver onions is something that has to be cooked just right or it can go seriously wrong) The waitress was great. I would definitely recommend this place to eat

I am writing this in December of 2023, and I have been to the Bungalow a fair number of times over the past seven years. It is a great place to go, with great food and very good service. That being said, I call your attention to the fact that all of the other reviews on this website are AT LEAST 10 YEARS OLD and are therefore so out of date that they should be completely ignored.

I moved to Woodstock almost a year ago and I had heard great things about this place but had not gone until this past Saturday. Let me tell you the food was amazing. I have had the Chef's Hat Catering company cater many of my events as well as been at functions that they have catered. The food is excellent - it's fresh and plenty of it. In fact, there has always been more food than we can eat. The staff are very professional and helpful when you don't know what to order. They help with quantities for groups. The last event I was at, everyone there complimented the Chef's Hat and plan to use them for their functions. I personally have gone there for lunch and have found the staff to be friendly and you can't beat the lunch specials. Excellent price for the amount of food you get. Keep up the good work!
