Service was pretty good considering we were eating in an asian establishment. Tea was topped up, food was replenished quickly, and the side dishes kept coming. I didn't use their washroom but the location is accessible by TTC or Car. Nice spacious dining area and it was clean. I liked how food was coming non-stop. We had so much food that night - great bang for our buck. Although the taste of the food was a little bland (compared to other Korean BBQ places), the side dishes made up for it. It was pretty decent. We got the beef wrapped in pancake, smoked pork with pancake and shrimp dumplings. It's a lot of carbs, so you get full pretty quickly. This was my first time dining at a Korean restaurant so I was super excited. The place seemed very cozy. I loved the booths and their little curtains. We came here because it is my boyfriend's favourite Korean restaurant. I was very happy with our meal! I love noodles so I got ramyun, which isn't a special or difficult dish but I enjoyed it. The food came out very quickly and at a good temperature. My boyfriend loves their potato appetizer and I adore their sweet peanuts. We also got bulgogi, which was amazing! The portion was large, more than enough for the two of us and there was the perfect amount of sauce. The ladies who work there are nice and efficient as well. My first impression of Korean food was a positive one and I hoped to visit again. On my second time there, we ordered the combo my boyfriend raved about: soup, spicy diced chicken, 5 bottles of beer for $18 and dukboki (a dish I had been wanting to try). Again, the service was fast and the food was hot and tasted amazing. We ordered much more than we could finish so we happily took most of the meal home. I wish I could make a trip back here sooner! The people who run this restaurant are always so friendly! To top that off, the food is great. I really enjoy their palak paneer especially. They're also great with accomodating tastes. After reading about Ding Tai Fung in the local newspaper, we tried it this morning with my wife and her parents. And, we were rewarded with excellent dim sum. The menu is a la carte, so everything arrived piping hot and fresh. The deep fried squid tentacles were amazing, perfectly salty & crunchy. Siu Mai was also good, done a little differently with brown rice on top. The green onion pancakes were flavourful, and not too oily. Xiao Long Bao were heavenly, with moist flavourful pork on the inside and perfectly done wrapping. We also ordered steamed vegetable buns, spring rolls, and a sticky rice bun called "si fan" with salty, crispy pork rolled into the inside. The decor is nice, and restaurant seemed very clean overall. Bill was $58 fo 4 adults including tip. I think this is some of the best dim sum in the GTA, and we've eaten extensively from Markham to Scarborough to downtown Chinatown. My parents in law who are from Taiwan and China were also impressed. We'll definitely return! Read more

I live near Queen and Spadina and have had some difficulty with finding decent low-medium priced sushi. Toshi is across from where I take spin class and I noticed that the sign indicated that the chef was Japanese so I decided to try it out. I found the fish to be fresh, the restaurant to be clean and the service to be attentive. They service appropriately sized rolls and nigiri, as opposed to the giant pieces that many other establishments serve (this is a good think IMO). Overall, very good meal and I think I will be frequenting Toshi a great deal. Read more
