Undeniably one of the best fish and chip places in the Langley, Poco and Maple Ridge area. We've hit others and they were bad experiences with oil dripping off the cod pieces that had to be dabbed with a napkin to see through it. This place is always busy, and their fish burgers are messy but a good choice. The all you can eat fish and chips is a good deal whereas, others disappoint. I was skeptical at first because they ranked so high in reviews and this place was located in Delta/Surrey but I must say I was really impressed. I think Ive been to all the Japanese restaurants along the Westcoast and Akari is absolutely top notch. Their black rice specialty rolls and tempura were especially memorable. The owner told me they have a tempura master who have been making tempura for 20 years! Ill definitely be back with my family and friends. Read more

I absolutely love this place. The food is quite good, the portion sizes are generous, the prices are right, and the service is always friendly. Speaking of portion sizes, I love their appetizers. They have some small appetizers which are priced relatively low which is wonderful. I don't want to spend 75% the cost of a meal for an appetizer so large that I'm not hungry for dinner any longer. Wish more places would offer appetizer portions like Amarosa. There is a wide selection available so you'd be hard pressed to find something you don't like. I'll be back. Read more

I was our first visit to this neighbourhood pub. It is a small restaurant with low ceilings and panelled in dark wood. The seating is very comfortable. The menu is small, however it offers something for everyone. We tried their signature dish "Oyster po' boy" ($15). It is served with a roasted tomato soup drizzled with rich basil oil. I found this place of eatery very accommodating,The service was very good to say the least, was walked to my table and Dim Sum menu placed on the tabled along with the hot pot of Jasmine Tea. The atmosphere was very nice.The food selection was a very good choice for a lunch menu and not to be forgotten all hot food was hot not warm or tepid. The service was spontaneous there was no waiting when looking for another plate of this delicious Dim Sum hot food or deserts. I had inquired about the dinner menu and was informed that it was an experience that one would have to be in attendance to fully appreciate . They have there own Dim Sum chef which to me explains as to why this restaurant is one that should be selected to enjoy a lunch as well dinner as I have . 5 stars shining in full illumination.
