We ordered the Beef tenderloin crostini, pork belly, baby back ribs, and black cod. The pork belly was the crispest and least fatty that I've ever had, it was spectacular. The flavors on the crostini were very good, the cherry chutney and dijon aioli went very well together. And the ribs... much better than any I've had at a Ribfest. My GF said the black cod was the tastiest fish she had ever had. The ambiance is nice cottage country, the dining room intimate with only four tables. A definite repeat!. Read more

I love the general atmosphere of this place which is charming and delightful. Its in a beautiful heritage house that transports you back to another time. The service is quite good too. They offer a wide ranging menu. I haven't had the pizza the guy makes there in years but it was probably my favourite thing. Read more

We frequent this little piece of culture in downtown Belleville as often as we can. The lunch menu is incredible. Where else can you get delicious sandwich/quiche/salad with soup for $10? The bread is organic and baked fresh on the premises. The service is friendly and when you ask about the food they can always tell you what you want to know. The atmosphere is lovely and when the kitchen is open like it is there is nothing to hide. The bistro is impeccably clean and it is obvious that the chef/owner takes great pride in his business. We have eaten every sandwich, quiche, and meat pie on the menu as well as every soup and salad. We are never disappointed. For dinner you have to try the chef's table that takes place twice per month. An opportunity to sit with 12 other people to enjoy the surprise chef's choice menu of starter, main, and dessert. Incredible. If you haven't gone to L'Auberge de France then make a point of going. And don't miss the fresh croissants on Saturday mornings. Read more

Omg this place is an absolute Gem! My husband , myself and my mother inlaw were on our way from New Brunswick to Ontario. During a snow storm ( March 4th 2023) the owner G was amazing! The breakfast was the best I've ever had. The coffee is so so good! The customer service and hospitality we received here will be something we all talk and rave about forever! This pub is around the corner from our house and we just love it there. The ladies are all very friendly. the menu has variety so it doesnt matter what you feel like having they have something to satisfy you. Their sandwiches are AMAZING!
