When I return to my hometown of Ottawa I head immediately to Caffé Mio! There are few restaurants in Ottawa that understand this disease fully but Robert has FANTASTIC gluten-free pasta available and staff are fully aware of the do's and don'ts for us.
Last evening I had a meal of Caprese Salad - dressing perfect, not cloying; Pasta Beata (chicken, artichoke, peppers and a white wine dijon cream sauce - DIVINE!) followed by fig and port tartufo. Atmosphere is wonderful and the staff super-friendly. This is a MUST GO!

La pizza est succulente , cuite avec soin et respect. Authenticité des proprios (2 sœurs je crois) et service complet sans détours malgré l'heure tardive et limite. Quoique très subtile l'odeur de cigarette rajoute tout de même de l'endroit et des méthodes.
Osez parler français avec elles , en testant leurs capacités à le faire ´properly ´

Service courtois et rapide. On peut manger sur place ou emporter. Grand choix de repas. Ceux qui sont allergiques au gluten reçoivent un service hors pair, mais tous peuvent s'y régaler.
Mes enfants et moi y sommes allés plusieurs fois et avons toujours appréciés. Leur gazpacho est délicieuse et bien épicée, ils ont de multiples salades, dont une aux fruits de mer que j'ai beaucoup aimée. Des plats variés toujours appétissants. Et des petits déjeuners tout inclus.

Ive been coming to this restaurant for years, having grown up in the East end. The quality of the food is always impeccable and the warm ambiance lends well to an intimate dinner, or family affair. Great atmosphere and the food is absolutely delicious! I have been to this same place many times now because I can't stop going back! The plates are presented so nicely and you can tell they take their time to ensure the food is of high quality. Never once have I had to return an item. Kid friendly, casual and a great place to enjoy a fantastic breakfast or lunch at a reasonable price!
I love the fruit decorations on the plates the best.
