I would just like to say that we had a party of 10 and the food was excellent. Our server ,I believe her name was Dottie was just the best.She dolled over us like we were family.She was the best.Her attention to detaiks and our needs was greatly appreciated.We will definitly return. Thanks again .

I have been to this place a few times, a couple before the renovations and twice after, some friends of mine actually had their wedding party here and I was extremely impressed at how they handled themselves, everyone had prime rib and was very good and well cooked considering their were more than 150 ppl, they closed the restaurant for the night to the public.
Anyways I would like to talk about my most rescent visit, I went with my family, my parents, younger brother and girlfriend. It was a thursday night, not overly busy but they had a live band (one guitar,one pianist) that created a nice atmosphere. It may be because of the location but it seems a lot of seniors enjoy eating here, nothing wrong with that, but it's definitely not a modern hip restaurant like it's decor implies.
Now the food, I ordered the BBQ special which when described to me seemed like a huge plate of ribs, wings,onion rings, and a baked potato coupled with a trip to the salad bar. When my plate arrived I was quite disappointed, a very small half rack of ribs, 4 chicken wings, and 2 onion rings with a baked potato. The plate seemed sparse. The salad bar was - okay, pasta salad, ceaser etc. For 23 bucks i was not impressed. Dont get me wrong it all tasted great, it's just the portions were minuscule.
I dont know, my parents had the same problem with the Greek Feast special, it was described as being very generous portions but ultimatly it was just a sample of bigger dishes.
My girlfriend has the chicken tenders which suprisingly were very tasty and generous portions, go figure the least expensive meal ended up being the most satisfying.
All in all, I will go back because if you stick to just plain greek food like a souvlaki dinner you cant go wrong, once you venture off to more adventurous taste options be prepared to be left hungry.

Staff more concerned about going for smoke. Used to be good when I went for breakfast and lunch regularly. We were very generous tippers. Just a sad decline.

Lamb was awesome. Came with roasted potatoes and rice and Greek salad. I have eaten here many times and the food is always great. Highly recommend it - my wife loves it too. Staff are friendly and service is exceptional.

When we entered the restaurant the two of us were seated quickly. We read over the menu and our waitress came within five minutes to inquire about our drink order. Another three minutes passed and our food order was taken. Ten minutes after our order was taken our food arrived and our server double checked to see if there was anything else she could get for us. Great and timely service is what I've come to expect from Johnathan's.
The food was good to. Everything was neatly prepared in a decent sized portions. I left the restaurant feeling quite content and not hungry or wondering what I got for money.
The Souvlaki dinner was well prepared and is one of the better ones we have had in the Aurora. The Chicken club was interesting considering it was served on a keyser bun instead of using bread. This was a pleaseant surprise as I was expecting the sandwich to be made out of either white or whole wheat. The sandwhich came with a bottle of ketchup and mainaise so the patron can add as much or as little of these two condiments as they wanted. Nonetheless the club sandwhich with fries was well prepared and presented.
The bill came to just over $23.00 and was delivered relatively shortly after our server came to clear our plates off after our dinner.
We most definately will be returning as both of us know we can rely on Johnathan's for good food and service.
