Tips to find self service storage facilities in Okotoks AB

• Assess before placing a call: Figure out what you want to place in a personal self storage facility before talking to storage or moving companies. Establish the amount of furniture you would like to store or the size of the room in your home that you want to clear (whether it’s the attic or the basement). With a proper assessment of what needs to be stored (and for how long), you’ll get a more accurate quote from self storage companies.
• Keep it local: You will want to have access to your personal storage facility on a regular basis. Call storage companies that are located in your area so that you don’t have to deal with extra moving costs.
• Referrals: Acquaintances that have recently moved or have had to deal with storing someone’s belongings into a personal storage will be your best referrals to help you find the ideal storage facility company. Ask them about their experience with storage companies and if they are secure.
• Security: Ask to visit the grounds of your potential personal storage companies. You are looking for close circuit security cameras, a reliable alarm system and a well lit parking lot. You should feel secure that your belongings will be stored in that area.
• Insurance: Ask the self storage company what their insurance covers in a case of fire, water damage or theft.
